This 18th Century Broxbournebury Mansion overlooks the Jack Nicklaus II designed golf course from each side and meanders through ancient grounds once owned by The Order of the Knights Hospitallers of St John.
A new £1m refurbishment of the facilities featuring, swimming, bespoke hydro pool, Ice fountain, steam room and new sauna opened in 2020.
The Pool and Spa requires 24-hour a day heat and electricity all year round, and with the Mansion open the majority of the year, energy usage and costs are substantial.
The site has been operational since September 2020
Hertfordshire Club management partnered with TED Gen to install an on-site generation solution consisting of a 50kW Combined Heat & Power (CHP) for the both the main club area and pool.
TED Gen covered the capital cost of the CHP, the Installation, and the ongoing cost of Service and Maintenance over the lifetime of the partnership.
The energy generated by the CHP systems is charged back to Hertfordshire Club at a discounted rate set against the prevailing rates charged by the current utility providers in the form of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
