Client Update: The Abbey Hotel Sees Impressive Results
OS Generation Group, the leading sustainable energy company focussed on on-site energy generation for the leisure and hospitality sector, has already started seeing impressive results for The Abbey Hotel in Redditch which went live with a low carbon Combined Heat and Power (CHP) solution in June last year.
Nestled in a beautiful 175-acre estate in the town of Redditch, the award-winning resort features restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, a luxury Spa with a 15metre indoor pool, state of the art gym and conference facilities.
The hotel is managed by Michels and Taylor – with a great portfolio of hotels and a wealth of experience, they specialise in optimising the commercial success of any hospitality business. OS Generation Group was consulted on recommendations for ways to reduce energy costs while building a more sustainable approach to energy consumption, and the solutions put forward are delivering just that.
Not only did OS Generation Group provide a compelling commercial proposal for the CHP Solution but they have also successfully managed the installation and ongoing maintenance of the system. With all capital and operational costs covered by OS Generation Group over the life of the partnership, it is a complete low-risk solution for The Abbey.
A secondary phase will potentially see OS Generation group integrating Solar PV, EV Charging and Battery Storage into the Abbey’s energy solutions, further enhancing their sustainability credentials.
